The foundation is a non-profit, non-government organization which presents a range of festivals focusing on film, jazz, theatre, international music and art.  For information and dates on a specific festival, check the foundation’s website.  Particularly well-known is the Istanbul Biennial.  In October 2011,  Kevin Spacey and Sam Mendes will bring their production of Richard III to Istanbul under the auspices of the Foundation. The Foundaton recently renovated the beautiful historic building, Deniz Palace, which is now their headquarters and which also houses a cafe, the noted X Restaurant, a performance venue, and the IKSV Design Store.
