This large resort hotel is a wonderful choice for a family traveling to Venice with children.  It has a sandy beach, water sports, pool and tennis court and at rates that are more reasonable than the grand luxury hotels of Venice.  The hotel provides shuttle boat service to and from St. Marks Square, and while this takes 15-20 minutes, the boat ride itself is fun for children and allows a family to combine the fun of a resort vacation with the rich cultural and historical sightseeing in Venice.  During high season – July and August – it is essential to book far in advance.
